YEN & TEM collaboration.

Join us for an interdisciplinary low-stakes pitch competition, focused on connecting students from different disciplines, namely science, engineering, business, and agriculture. The goal of this event is to connect students and recent graduates who have not met previously to work together and create a 90-second pitch on a new business idea focusing around solving problems. All for a chance to win a $300 grand prize!
Students will be placed into 3-person teams (subject to adjustment) that span disciplines. They will have 2.5 hours to develop an idea and prepare a 90-second pitch.
Ideas will need to be targeting one of three facets of the Bioscience Industry: Health, Agriculture, or Sustainability.
Students will receive training in the form of a pitch workshop the day before the event. Ben Isakov from the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship will walk students through how to craft a compelling 90-second pitch.

YEN & TEM Collaboration

The Youth Enrichment Network is a student-lead organization that operates under the stewardship of the Bioscience Association of Manitoba (BAM). YEN’s mission is to connect students and recent graduates across Manitoba to the thriving bioscience industry in our province. YEN achieves this objective through networking events, panel discussions, professional development workshops, and our mentorship program. We also collaborate with students groups to throw a variety of events that foster connection. YEN is comprised of students and recent graduates from every post-secondary institution in Manitoba and is also open to high school students.

TEM is a community of student entrepreneurs based out of U of M learning by doing. Through events, challenges, and industry connections, we help students build skills, test ideas, and take action. Whether you are launching a venture or just exploring, TEM is here to support your journey. Become a member here.
